 The Royal Masonic School in Bushey, Hertfordshire was built in 1903 with a further boys school added in 1929. The site was sold in 1977 and became the American University. The buildings have now been converted to apartments and flats.

Although the site is vast it is quite new as prior to 1903 it seems there were only fields here. The site though is in two parts, the north side and the south side. The north side as already mentioned is just over 100 years old whereas the south side is much older dating back on maps to at least early 1800s. It has however been completely rebuilt in the early 1900s. This time line may change as ongoing research may bring to light further history of this site. There is also a possible Templar connection dating back to the 12th century and possibly a Saxon building before that.

The Gatehouse, situated on the north side to the right of the main gates has been empty for many years and has a reputation for being haunted. Faces appearing at the windows and an apparition of a man has been reported,although these reports are still being researched,we have only as yet found orbs and strange temperature readings.

We have visited this site a couple of times to photograph and take temperatures readings on the outside only.

On our first visit we captured an orb  over a pillar just outside the gatehouse. In subsequent visits we have recorded sudden temperature drops of 2 and 5 degrees with large dark areas which appear to stop light from passing through. We have also noticed some large rectangular patchs in the lawn that  could be possibly pets graves ?This area seems to attract lots of orbs and temperature fluctuations.

The findings so far are inconclusive and we have approached the owners to allow a full investigation and do more extensive research on this site in the future. The main site is vast and rumours would suggest that there are more than one ghost residing here.

THIS SITE IS HUGE AND WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO GET PERMISSION TO DO A FULL INVESTIGATION SOME TIME SOON .

Allegedly a young girl named Hillary Sinclair was the victim of a horse riding accident that resulted in her unfortunate demise a few days later in an upstairs room of the school.  This room is said to remain cold all of the time.
