St Peter's Church, Bushey

St. Peter's Church was originally built as a chapel  in 1837 to take up the overspill from the Parish Church of St.James and was built in the fashionable Gothic Style of the time. Records show that the locals consisted of Farm Workers, gardeners, domestics  and coachmen. All of the records were kept at St. James.

In 1889 St. Peter's became a church in its own right with the Parish boundaries more or less as they are today. In 1891 the Chancel was rebuilt and there is very little left in the Church of the original fixings.

The opening investigation at this site gave us lots of promise. The church has no visible graveyard and is situated opposite one of Bushey's oldest public houses, The Three Crowns. We will be looking at the pub later (in more ways than one).

Well anyway pub aside here are some pictures taken at St. Peters.

A FURTHER  VISIT TO ST PETERS NORTH SIDE GARDEN PRODUCED THESE PHOTOS

Note the blue white orb infront of the bush .

Now the orb has moved upwards also another orb is seen on the bush at the far right.

The orbs have now changed there are still two but either they are nearer or have got bigger and had a couler change,at this point they are still in front of the bush .

For some reason the camera now has a problem focusing the orbs seem to have gone.

Now the focus goes compleatly .

orbs are gone and the camera has resumed normal service.or so it would seem..

A veiw of the church not an orb in sight .

an orb high on the roof top in front of the tower.

Again an orb high above the church ,were these the same orbs.

THE PHOTOS BELOW WERE TAKEN AT AN EARLIER DATE.

This misty figure was photographed at 20: 25  12-11-08  from the northside of the church   and was seen when the flash went off. It was captured at the north side door steps where we have photographed orbs previously. Here is one below. In the top right there is an orb and what looks like another mist.

The orbs above in both photos  are on the north side of the church where the mist above was seen. The north side door is visible in both photos.
